Can you believe it? 3 NFL shutouts on opening weekend! I don't remember anytime this has happened before.
The Baltimore Ravens beat down the Tamba Bay Buccaneers 27-0
Greenbay got creamed by The Bears 26-0
And Last night The Oakland Raiders were ran all over by the Chargers 28-0.
The Packers getting whomped wasn't any real surprise, as they are god awful this year and have been for the last few years. Favre is on his last wheels. Actually I think he blew out those wheels a couple years ago.
Oaklands not that great either despite having Randy Moss.
But Tampa Bay getting killed is quite a surprise. THey havn't looked that bad since the 70s and 80s. Chris Simms is a rising qb with plenty of potential. He shouldn't be that horrid.
Chicago already had a great defense, and now they can score points, so they're gonna be hard to beat this year. The Chargers have been building the last few years and they may be in a position to dominate the AFC West(although for the Broncos sake I hope not.)
And as for Baltimore, they've been kinda off the mark the last couple years, but have always had an awesome defense. Looks like McNair is doing good things with their offense. They could be a major force this year.
Keep in mind this is all week 1 stuff so it's still a lil early to tell who's gonna be dominating, but keep an eye on these teams over the next 3 weeks. By then you can get a better picture on who's a champ and who's a chump.
