Banner Challenge for CD's Forum

Seeing how people have tooken a interset in making or editing my banner. So i was think in this thread you graphics people could make a banner for Killera forum and try to out do each other and stuff and edit other banner they made. I'll end up using more then one of them so yeah lets get started

I'm leaving the ideas for it open (meaning I have no perfers at this time)

OK, here is Version 1 the one I am working on.

Its not the most amazing thing ever, but I say its good considering I have I am a begginer, and this is my very first one made from scratch, i started with a single blank frame and ended up with 62 frames. I made with Jasc Animation Studio.
Its the exact dimesions of your sig. which i also edited with animation shop;)

You really like it? Thanks, it was my first project made form scratch :)

I took about 30 minutes, I just threw it together really. To do it, I had to take two 62 frame animations, and export all frames individually to Paint Shop, then layer them together, and rebuild them as a single animation. THem I created the TV shell/mask on a tranparent frame, and pasted it iver every frame.

I would like to get better with textures, I would like it more if the TV was woodgrain. BUt I cant floodfill a woodgrain texture, yet...

Very nice. I like that light effect. How'd you do that? Is it an effect that comes with Jasc, or are you just really good? I would offer to make you one CD, but if I am making any banners, it'd be for my own. I just didn't think we were allowed to publicize our own forums on coolrom by giving them their own thread. But that one DarthBrady made is pretty sweet.It's a basic flashing colors effect in Jasc Animation Shop. I, personally, don't like it that much because of all the pixel dithering and snow it puts in the GIF. Because CD's signature GIF had well over 256 colors when transformed using the rainbow effect, some serious dithering was required to make the optimization applicable for GIF file format. I don't get why everyone likes it...it's full of snow, people! Of course, it was a good practice for DarthBrady, and a good piece of knowledge for GIFs that it doesn't ruin.

I'm busy programming things; no time to strain my brain for creativity. I think CD's signature is already animated enough, anyway.

But For Real, TO answer some of your qusrtions about the banner folks:
-yes, it is a " Text Effect" called "Backlight" in Jasc Animation Shop.

THe TV snow, is made with tranparent cobalt gray and a "noise" image effect, just as a real tv. ;)

Both had to be made as seperate animations. then each frame had to be combined as layers with the other in a Jasc Photo shop Export Edit.

THen the TV ouline is made in a new tranparent frame, and that frame "mask" is pasted on every frame, to crake the final product.


-and none of them are slow on my PC. they all run at normal speed.
-and its supposed to look "snowy" or whatever it was called, i wanted the old low-res effect.;)

Color? as long as it looks cool. shape? banners have shapes? specail effects? don't know what you got so suproze me if you want to use them

You don't need choice, just tell me what you want me to change. I mean if all you want to change is how much room the text takes up, then O.K., but what about the text itself? Do you want a different font? Do you want it bold? Do you want it a different color? Just give me an idea of what you want me to do with it.
