this belongs in graphics
I'm not sure how to do it with Snes9x, but I know how to do it with ZSNES. You press the number keys from 1-4 to remove layers, and Press F1 and go on "Save Snapshot" or something similar, and it'll save it in the same folder as the ROM you use.

With SNES9x, you basically do the same thing, pressing the first I think it's 5 keys or so, 1-5, and it will turn off bgs and such. Then just take a screenshot, and delete th black background, and you have your sprite.

ripping sprites
....Remove layers, take snapshots, cut out sprites. That's how you do it.

well, this is COMPLETELY different than i thot id would be, so how do i cut out the sprites? Photoshop?
You can do it using paint if you want, you remove all of the backgrounds so it's easy. But it takes a while.

how do you do it in other emulators?
Erm, with Visual Boy Advance, you hold Ctrl and press the numbers to remove layers. Then there's probably a Save Screenshot thing somewhere. I only know how to do it with ZSNES and VBA, so that's all I can help with. Sorry.
