yes, as much detail as you can give would be a great help! ;)
for example:
-DXgeneration8's above question
-what type of video/graphics card you use? firmware?
-what type of PC and operating system do you use?
-does this happen efvery time you start your PC?
-have you ever updated your motherboard chipset drivers or Bios flash?
-do you experience "screen tearing" in graphics often?
-does your monitor ever "flash/blink" changing/loading new graphics to the screen?
-if you added a graphics/video card to your PC, is your power supply strong enough for it?
-what type of monitor do you use? does it support "sync on green"?

Unplug the moniter, leave it unpluged for about a half hour (Giving it time to cool off during this time the moniter settings will reset themselves.. (Look through the manual to see if your moniter is caption enabled) Often someones moniter has the ability to use captions.. (Find a TV that has caption settings and check all of the settings, one of the settings you try covers the whole screen leaving you to figure out how to fix it) the same goes for a moniter with caption capability. What type of moniter is it? What type of video card do you have? Some video cards have the caption option as well just incase the moniters do not. and yes it does come in handy.
