What emu

Hi There I am quit new to the emu population. I had an old version of mame and that worked pefectly with the double click on the game and it will run but it seems that they changed that completely with the new ons.
Could you please tell me how the new one works or if there is something better out there thatn mame I got a few neo geo and normal arcade roms.

Copy the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe to the MAME folder.
Click ont he cmd.exe file, and type in run gamename.

To find out the name of the game, just check the ROM file's actual name. It should be something like spiderman.zip, or something like that. If it is spiderman.zip, then type in run spiderman.

Edit: Tell me if this works.

Edit: Make sure that your ROM is in the ROM folder.

Hi there it seems to work but I have a few files missing so I think I need the bios files for them to run (I have inserted all the bios files but get n few *.bin files missing I am running Mame 106 and the rom is Metal slug 5) (Any Ideas)

Just two questions please
First is there maybe a better and quicker more user friendly window base emu
Because I cant see why Mame broke away from their window based program
Second Will the old roms still work with the new mame and will neo geo roms also work? Should I get the newest mame or is there a better version that is older.
