zelda - majoras mask (help me please!)

can sumone please help me out, why cant i assign items to the c buttons on zelda 2? when i press start the menu comes up but when i press left and right, it just changes to the other menus and i cant select the item i need to use. im supposed to give the moon tear to the deku scrub in clock town, but i cant do it because of this. can someone please give me an explanation of how i can solve this problem..

He needs to set up his controls so he knows which key does what, or just buy a joystick :p.

And haven't U put up a thread for this already?? And didn't people gave U the exact same answers?? So, R U stubborn or just plain dumb to not understand what is said??

Actually, I used to experience this guy's exact problem. So rather than him using Z and R, he probably DID configure his input plugin, but did it wrongly like I did. This user may have assigned the D-pad buttons to the same keys as those that are assigned to the analog control (control stick). If you use the D-pad controls to change menus in one of the Zelda games, it acts as though you are using Z and R instead of left and right for some reason. So I think this user just configured it wrongly, rather than not having configured it at all.

I know this thread along with it's user is long gone, but a future piece of information for you all.
