Is there anyway to play duck hunt on an NES emu? Is there a pc light gun that is compatible or some way to convert the oringinal NES light gun to USB?

I'm not sure off hand but wouldn't Nester or Nesticle have mouse emulation of the NES Light Zapper. I know for sure that ZSnes has Super Scope Emu that way. Check under the control settings.

I don't see anything about it under Nesters options. Mouse emulation wouldn't be the same anyway:( . Good suggestion though, thanks.

Actually, FCE Ultra, a great Nes emu, supports the lightgun.

Would is support any USB light gun? I found a cheap one on link-sag for under $15, so that would work. Does anyone know if they make a NES to USB converter? I still got the original light gun for NES, and it would be awesome if there was a way to hook it to pc.
Have you actually played this emulator with a light gun? Cause I would hate to spend $15 on a gun and it not work with it.

No. In fact, I never seen a working lightgun on a PC. I just know the theory, but I never tested it. ;)

Light guns do not work on a PC monitor, only on a TV. If U R able to hook up Ur PC to Ur TV then yes, U can use it. Using a NES to USB should do the trick as it's nothing more than a converter changing the NES plug to one that fits into the PC port ;)...
Nevermind what I just said, read this article here :p...

They even show a picture of using that thing on Duck Hunt emulated on the PC. I think I'm going to get me one of those, or two actually ;)...

EDIT: I found a list of NES light gun games if any one cares. http://www.pelikonepeijoonit.net/neslight.html

I ordered it. The gun was $35 but the shipping was $29 Oh my:eek:
Damn thing better work.
Also, I noticed on my duck hunt ROM there wasn't the skeet shooting game on it. I remember on the original game there were three options.
A: 1 Duck
B: 2 Ducks
C: Clay Pigeons
Would this skeet shooting game be under a seperate title? I sooo loved that game.
EDIT: Never mind, the version of Duck Hunt I got off coolrom.com has the Caly Pigeons game. The ROM I had must have been different.
