You should put a new forum where people who want to learn about how to make ROMS and debug them etc can get started and those who already know how to can answer questions.
I've always been curious how to debug the games I find gliches in myself, but don't know where to look to get started. Is it something an amature could learn to do, or do you need a masters in computer science?
Awesome site by the way, the best ROM site by far...

Not everyone would have to learn, just those that wanted too. I am more interested in learning debugging, especially N64 ROMs. Of course I doubt that many people that already knew how to make ROMs would be on this forum. If they already knew how to make ROMs they wouldn't need to visit emulation sites I guess.

yeah, but which is better, doing hard work for a game, or doing nothing for a game

Yeah, but if you couldn't find a ROM or atleast one that worked you could fix it yourself and not depend on someone else. I don't think making ROMs is actually too hard. I seen a thing you plugged into usb on a pc and put a GBA cartridge in and using some simple user friendly software it download all the info from the GBA cartridge into a .GBA file on your pc to be played in emus. I assume the same principle works for any cartrige game, just a matter of getting the hardware to copy from cartridge to pc.
Making the the emulators takes some brains I don't have, but alot of emulators have debuggers in them, but the game just looks like gibberish when you open it in the debugger. I guess you gotta know C++, BASIC, or some computer language I'll never understand:confused:
