I'm having a problem with the N64 emulator. It won't save. I've tried everything I can think of..... It just won't work. I've tried pressing F5 to save, but when I come back and restore it, it's all deleted. I've tried going in manually to do it, still won't work. I've tried saving it through the game itself, of course not. Can anyone help me?

Did you try pressing F5 to save and F7 to load? If that doesn't work for you, then I don't know what's up. The only reason why that shouldn't work is because you are trying to save your file in a read only directory, or you installed Project64 on another account and are using it in an account that gives you no write-access to your hard disk.

what do you mean by that? You mean download it on one computer from the site, and then transfere it from that one to another one?
Off to try something.....

No, I just said try pressing F5 and F7. F5 to save the game and F7 to load it. That whole read-only thing was what I suspected to be the cause of your problem, not how to fix it. Try F5 and F7, and tell me if that works.

I did, and still not working. I press F5 to save, and it says that it saved it, then i exit out, get back in, F7, can't load. I don't know what the problem could possibly be. I tried everything. *sigh*. Can anyone else help me?

Try right-clicking the folder you have Project64 installed in, and select Properties. Do you see a checkbox option at the bottom named "Read Only?" Is it checked with a black or grey check?
Try unchecking it, and click OK. Did you get any error messages?
