Hey, I was trying to get my friend some emulations, but.. what they keep saying is...

" to open this file, windows needs to know what program created it. windows can go online to look it up automatically, or you can manually select from a list of programs on your computer" What does she do? :skep:

that message means you are trying to open a file that windows does not recognize as a valid windows program file format.

WHat type of file are you trying to open?

to succesfully emulate, you will need to set up an emulator software, and then load the rom files with the emulator.

just tell us what you want to emulate, and we will get you started. ;)

For Super Smash Bros., Project64, 1964, Mupen64 and Nemu64 should all work.

To simplify plugin-changing, I recommend Project64, which already comes with an okay but not the best plugin for this game.

You can get all of the decent N64 emulators here:
