Yet Another Question

Sorry that half my posts here have been questions, but I want to play my ROMs on Nestopia with my PS2 controller. I bought a USB-to-PS2 controller converter, but when I try to use it, it seems as if Nestopia doesn't detect the controller. How do I configure Nestopia so that I can use a controller? Thanks for your help.
