Hi, I'm new to these boards. I'm a big fan of emulation and a BIG fan of CoolRom.

Anywhoo, down to business.

Earlier this evening, I downloaded 1964 (N64 emulator). I decided I'd grab a few ROMs, then do some homework, then play the once I was finished.
Among the ROMs I downloaded was Fighting Force 64.
I started playing, and immediately noticed that all the backrounds and players are upside down.
I really have no idea what I'm doing with the emulator, so I figured I'd post here.

Info:
Emulator I'm using: 1964 (http://www.coolrom.com/n64emu.php)
ROM file: Fighting Force 64 (http://www.coolrom.com/roms/n64/1174/Fighting_Force_64.php)

Any help you guys can offer is greatly appreciated!

I ran this on my 1964 and had the same error. I've heard of a plugin called Rice Daedalus 5.2 for this emu. I tried to find the plugin but couldn't find anything about it. I tried this game on project64 v1.6 and it loaded fine.

I would recommend using project64, I have had way to many glitches with 1964 and am fed up with it. I seldom have any crashes with project64, it is the best N64 emulator in my opinion. You can download it in the Emulators section of this site.

EDIT: After looking in the plugin folder, Rice Daesalus 5.2 already comes with v0.9.9 of 1964

yes, either:

1. get project 64 (it worked fine for me, too)
or
B. turn your monitor upside down

lol

I recommend you go with option 1, and run all of your N64 ROMs with Project64. It is an awesome emulator.

Like I said before, PJ64 is without a doubt the best. If however, you are for some reason insisting to use 1964 I figured out the answer to your problem. You can replace the 1964 video plugin with Jabos plugin (which is the same plugin used for PJ64) Just go to your 1964 plugin directory (C:\Program FIles\1964\099\plugin) by default Delete the file "RiceDaedalus5.2.0.dll" or copy and paste it elsewhere incase you need to use it again. Then get the file "Jabo_Direct3D8.dll" which you can get by either installing PJ64 then going to the (C:\Program FIles\Project64 1.6\Plugin) by default, 2. going and doing a websearch and trying to find it, or PM me and I will share the file I got if for whatever reason you are completely against installing PJ64 on your system.

Put Jabo's file in your 1964s plugin folder then when you start 1964 hit "Ctrl+P" to bring up the change plug ins prompt and selet "Jabo's Direct3D8 1.6" and you're set to go. This actaully fixes many of the glitches I've found in 1964.

I know that sounds confusing so I still say your best bet is to get Project64 1.6 install it, and forget about 1964, but if for whatever reason you won't do that, then this is your next best option.
