Dragon Quest III patching problem.

:confused: I finaly decided to play a Dragon Quest game so I downloaded DQ III (SNES Version ), got the patch, and 'em up in my IPSWIN tool. I ran it through and it said that the patch was sucessful but when I boot up to play, its still in Japanese. I got the Rom from cool rom and I tried three different downloads of the patch from sites I've never had problems with before. Everything I've gotten before has worked perfectly. So whats the dealio yo? Is this some kind of patch that you can't use a tool on and you have to set it up in a folder a special way or something? :confused:

It seems that I was using the wrong patch. The ones I had down loaded were earlier versions and only some of the menu's and items translated, or something like that anyway.
So i find the one I thought that I wanted and found out it was only 80% complete. It's only translated up to a certain part of the story line and even if you beat the game you don't know what the ending of the story is. ( That's how I understand it any way )

Meh. Oh well, Dragon Quest V is 100% translated so I guess I'll just play that instead. Or maybe I'll just go ahead and buy VII or VIII or whatever its up to in the U.S Dragon Warrior releases. What a bummer man.
