Looks like the PS3's cell processor is capable of doing some hard labour. But even this superiour processing power does not prevent it from failing in the consumer market. ;) At least so far. :cool:


I guess Sony should use the Cell technology for something else than a videogame console, or even a multi-media device.

True, it is a very very powerful processor, there is no denying that.

the problem with it, at least according to programmers, is it almost seems impossible to program for, compared to Xbox or Wii.

this is also the main reason over 75 titles for the system have been dropped, and companies such as id software, have announced they will probably never release a title for the system.

But who can blame them, when they estimate it could cost them as much as six times more to do a game on PS3 than 360! Maybe one day developers and programmers will come around to working with it but until then, I dont expect much.
