Sega Japan has announced that it will be ceasing its repair service for Sega Dreamcast consoles from 28 September 2007, effectively putting an end to its business in the hardware market.
While it stopped production of the console back in 2001, games were still finding their way to market, with two titles released in Japan this year. However, Sega halted the official format for the machine earlier this year, and games will now only be available via underground channels, according to Kotaku (http://kotaku.com/gaming/sega/sega-finally-disowns-dreamcast-saturn-248764.php).
I thought it was officially dead years ago, I guess I was wrong. So, does this mean DC games are off the ESA lists now?? Let's hope so. :)
