Super Paper Mario better be good, as Newsweek spoke with Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, and he's confirmed Metroid Prime 3: Corruption will not be released by June of this year. Originally promised as an early 2007 release, the first-person-shooter will be arriving sometime in the summer, at the earliest.

"Where is Metroid? Metroid is not going to ship by June. We've announced all of our games through the end of June. And the fact with Metroid is we want to make sure that that game is perfect," said Fils-Aime. "Unfortunately, Metroid Prime 2 didn't live up to our expectations, it didn't live up to Retro's expectations ... From a sales standpoint. I think we were all happy with the product itself. Certainly it won quite a bit of critical acclaim, but the sell-through wasn't what we wanted it to be."

Wii's hardcore gamers will apparently have to be satisfied with Super Paper Mario, Wii's first Wi-Fi enabled game, for the time being.

Yeah, I personally dont expect more out of metroid prime compared to gamecube, except for superior control with the wii remote. But as an avid metroid fan, I cant wait.

But as for super paper mario, I really am excited about it! from what I have seen, this could be the best one in the series since super mario RPG on SNES!
I think it just looks great all around. I cant wait to play what I have seen in the demos and press!:D

*EDIT** and about prime 2 on GCN, they were correct. Although the game was beutiful and played through great, it just didnt sell very well. In the US, you can still buy it on walmart.com for 20$ US, and get an original release copy, not a greatest hits. I think that indicates their poor sales of the title pretty well. But never the less, I bought it, and loved it!

Same here, I liked it too. But the first Metroid Prime is better IMHO :) .....
