HM Smith has become the first major High Street PS3 stockist to significantly cut the price point of the machine.
For a limited time only, the store is selling the console for £399.99 – a full £25 less than the system is sold elsewhere.
The offer, which is only available in larger stores, will end next Tuesday, 10th of April, after the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
WH Smith has taken out an advert on page 13 in today’s The Sun newspaper to promote the deal.
Update:
Play.com has bettered WH Smith’s offer of a £399.99 PS3 by selling the console with extra items for the same price.
The online stockist includes an HDMI cable and a Blu-Ray film – Adam Sandler vehicle Click – in the package, which is sold for a full £25 less than Sony’s suggested retail price.
Personally I believe they R afraid they won't sell any more PS3's, seeing as how its sales dropped 82% last week.
