Maybe it's just me, but I find snes9x waaay better than zsnes. I've tried both and I've got zsnes to work, but snes9x does it better for me.
I've heard u need a special gba emulator to play DBZ the legacy of goku. Is that true, and if so, what emulator?
ridley

For Mac:
NES
Nestopia
SNES
SNES9X
Sega Master System
SMS Plus
Genesis
Genesis Plus
MAME
MacMAME
GB
KiGB
Some are the same as the Win version but it is easy to see them in one place. All should be Universal except maybe MacMAME, I don't think it has been updated in a while.

What about the N64? Aren't there the Mupen64 - Mac Edition and Fake64 emulator for Macintosh? And there was a third N64 Mac emulator...I posted it in this thread, somewhere.
NocturnalThoth

I should have said Mac emulators that I use. The third n64 emu. is sixtyforce.

For the Super Nintendo, there's DreamSNES, which is another SNES emulator- except it runs not on the PC, but the Dreamcast. If your Dreamcast was manufactured before 2000, you don't need to make any modification to the console. I'm not going to go into detail on how to run it yet, because I don't know if the mods would consider that warez. Still though, it's very possible, and it runs great.
Klendathu
07-25-2007, 04:34 PM
You're good man. It's not warez. It's a simple emulator for the Dreamcast.
Paranoia Agent
07-25-2007, 04:38 PM
Ok, in that case, I will hopefully post a guide on how to get it up and runningon your Dreamcast sometime soon.
I wish someone would make a Saturn emulator for the Dreamcast... the two share some hardware similarities... a Saturn emulator could probably run very fast on the Dreamcast...

I'd like to request a neogeo CD section.
And i have to say the best one i've used is neoraine, it plays more neo cd games than any other emulator imo, even the hard-to-play samurai showdown RPG.

They're statistically better than Nestopia.

Well now that the op is here I see no problem in that.
Though I think the guy who's question you just answered may be dead by now. jk:D
EDIT. Oh I just noticed the question was pretty fresh. (sorry codeman! :))

Cool, very helpful as I know nothing about roms or emulators and this is pointing me in some sort of direction.
Thanks

I couldn't help but notice that the K-Fusion is not listed as the main emulator for other systems.
That is the core reason to get that emulator as it helps keep from having 2 "extra", at least in my opinion.
codeman
09-24-2009, 04:19 PM
hmm. nestopia is still better, easier to setup
Dudel
09-25-2009, 09:53 AM
Indeed, simplicity of setup and ease of use are BIG selling points when I pick an emulator.

Yes i agree with that:):):)
but snes9x is too power hungry for a simple graphically made game
Dudel
05-10-2010, 08:53 AM
Snes9x isn't THAT power hungry. The minimum requirements for Snes9x and ZSNES aren't that different.

I use ZSNES only because I'm used to it. been using it since the late 90s and it works well for me.

I've never had a problem with it either. Half of the games I have on it I own for an actual SNES and they work just the same on pretty much everything.
