Datel, the company best known for the Action Replay game cheat line of products, has come up with another product that enters the gray zone of intellectual property manipulation.
My Mii Manager is a program for your home computer that allows you to edit your Miis, using an included USB Bluetooth dongle to apparently transfer them via the remote's internal Mii memory.
The program will set you back $19.99 US or £14.99 UK. Datel's online store doesn't have the product in just yet (http://us.codejunkies.com/shop/product.asp?c=US&cr=USD&cs=$&r=0&l=1&ProdID=489), but expect to see it soon. You can check out the official press release on it below right now, though.

Sorry for the off-topic question, but, Datel made Action Replay? I assume that includes the ROM image "Action Replay Pro 64". I needed this information.

This sounds good, but what will it really add to my mii experience? I mean, I wonder what about editing miis on the PC is going to better? New Features, perhaps? and if so, will they work right on the wii?
I'm just curious as to what this will do, is all :)

Until it's announced we can't be sure, But I THINK it might allow you to edit your Miis with custom designs using 3D image software.

OK, but my question to anything like that will be:
-will this WORK on my wii? correctly?
-will this affect games/gamesaves that use the mii characters?
If it works, cool. But if Nintendo says anything about it causing problems, I probably use it. But I do think its an idea worth considering.
But in that light, I think I will wait. Most of us keeping track on this stuff, already know that Nintendo may have something to come for mii's in the future. This of course, is based on the fact that the "Special Pants" exist now, but for no known reason (yet).
The special pants are hidden in code. Apparently you can transfer mii's now to your PC, and use special software to edit their code, to enable the Special Pants. After that, you have gold pants, and the Mii can not be edited anymore, the mii channel declares that you did not create the mii.
Most think this indicates that nintedo wil either add extra mii content later, or possibly a Special Miis for download from the shop channel or something. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
