Blue is...sort of nice, but too typical. Except for cyan a.k.a. turquoise. I think there are a few colors you could add to that poll:

Vermillion (red-orange to reddish red-orange)
Magenta (red-purple)
Gold (yellow-orange)
??? (yellow-green)
Indigo (blue-purple)
Teal (blue-green)
Cyan (bright teal)

...Or, maybe I'm getting to cheaply complicated. Up to you.

I picked green because:

1. Here comes the patheticness: It's in the middle of the rainbow.
2. Red related to yellow, blue looks like purple, but the closest green can get to is yellow. It's isolated in its unique appearance in the rainbow.
3. In the world of computers, it's a very complicated color. Trust me. Why do you think they picked RGB (Red Green Blue) instead of RYB (three primary colors)? Dither red and yellow, orange. Red and blue, purple. But green's components, yellow and blue, form an uncertain gray when dithered.
4. What can I say? It's a nice, complicated color. I like the neon-electric glow of all colors...except brown. I want my hair color to be black! I want it to be so black, you'll forget I'm white. Racists.

Well, I don't know. Yellow-Green is one of the six tertiary colors. A tertiary color is a fairly intermediate mix between a primary color and a secondary color. Using my good color terminology, I've come up with nicknames for those six tertiary colors. But I could not find one for Yellow-Green. I simply couldn't name it. The three pairs of complementary colors are red-green, yellow-purple, and blue-orange. These are not tertiary colors because the primary color for each is that in which its secondary color does not have. In red-green, for example, green is made up of yellow and blue (oddly), but not red. The two colors are therefore on the opposite of the circular color scale. If you mix them on a computer in RGB code, you're gonna get confused. You may as well leave the answer to that as white. But if you mix it with fake color, or pigments such as paint, you'll get a black, I think. Only light is real color.

Here something that makes sense. You remember those old episodes of Pokemon? All of the names of the cities: Vermillion, lavender, cerulean, celadon, the indigo plateau...all colors! Cinnibar (island) is an advanced one, merely a synonym of vermillion. But anyway, here's what makes sense:

When Ash, Brock, and Misty were heading for Violet city (violet is, as you should know, a synonym of purple), Ash stopped and said, "All right, guys, it's off to violet city!" (Japanese think/know we're stupid.) Then Misty goes, "Violet City? Sure sounds colorful!" This must be what they call 'satire'.

Black is not a color, but the abscence of all color. When white light, which is all around us looking invisible, hits an atom, the atom chooses which colors to reflect and which to absorb. White light is made up of red, yellow, and blue light. Because these three primary colors make up secondary colors, it is also OK to say white light is made up of orange, purple, and green light. Or all six. In any case, if the atom has the right amount of energy, it can absorb all of the colors the white light smiting it consists of, and will have no colors to reflect, thus appearing black. If it does not have the right amount of energy to absorb a single color, the light energy can be held but not absorbed. Instead, the atom reflects it. When an atom reflects all color, it appears white to us. White is only the combination of all of the colors, so white therefore is not a real color either.

Nevertheless, they are appearances, would it not have been based entirely on color abscence or color consitency, black and white would be colors. It is therefore OK to have them in this poll.

I like White, which isn't there, but should be if Black is, as neither are colours, but if you're counting Shades i.e Black, then white should be too -_-

Black isn't so much a shade as is the non- counter- emission of any elementary light, but white would have been simple.
