This would be an action rpg/side scroll game, but has anyone here played or heard of Wonder Boy in Monster World for Sega Genesis? This is one heck of a game for the time it came out. I remember the first time I played it, it took me a while to beat.

without a doubt, the absolutely mosy engorssing RPG i ever played... had meup for hours is.... *drum roll* Planescape:torment That game had the best story, chracters, good graphics, excellant sound, much much better then any reviews it recieved.
Other then that, I have to say Baldur's Gate 2, then Baldur's gate 1.
Dark alliance I thought, was just another diablo clone...

I don't like how they act like they are two years old. Other then that, it's a pretty good game.

They wanted the characters to be "free" therefore they had to make them act differently, instead of them being serious all the time...

Which do you think is better? I know I asked this but I can't find that thread. And also, is Chrono Cross related to Chrono Trigger? I mean the names are similer, but the characters are way different.

Yes, but I don't like Photoshop. I do, however, like Fireworks, which I think is better than photoshop for editing images. I think Photoshop is better for creating them from scratch...

IDK about fireworks, I never tried it. Photoshop is good for making images from scratch though. It's pretty fun too.

but fallout is my favorite.torment is a much better game but,still :)maybe that's because i like the setting better.

i really don't like japanese/console type rpgs because they usually lack the moral choices and they are full of cliches.

I'm thinking about picking up a used copy of Super Mario Thousand Year Door.
Has anyone here played it and if so what's your opinion of it?
How would you score it on a scale of 1-10 based on the story line, battle system and replayability?
Should I play Paper Mario first or does it stand on its own?

Star tropics for the nes wasen't bad and even though it wasn't a rpg Harvest moon was a great game. I remember playing that game one night till about 3 in the morning and the only reason I stopped was because I had to go to work in the morning.

I loved Paper mario: The Thousand Year Door. It is really good for most of the game. The ending is sorta unexpected, sorta like they started making things up, and it doesn't really fit for a mario game, but the rest of the game is really good. Especially the Glitz Pit. There is like mystery and arena fighting, just general fun. TYD has better fighting than Paper MArio 64 does. There is more interactivity in battle in TYD. More things to do to make your attacks work. Etcetera, etcetera.

seriously that was my favourite game in my childhood and i was searching SO hard to find it for so long because i didnt remember the name and i found it a couple days ago. i absolutely love how they mixed strategy with a sidescrolling action game, but its too bad they took the strategy out in the second one. I've almost beat it too.

Golden Sun is an original series.
It has one sequel so far Golden Sun: The Lost Age.
Both are great games IMO. When you finish the first you can transfer all your stats,levels, items, money, etc. over to the second.

.Hack is awesome!!!!! 'I loved that game. To bad it got stolen from me. :'( all my good stuff gets stolen its not fair >.< I had Fable for Xbox, but that got stolen aswell. Legend of Legaia is that the RPG with the mist and the people who have armlets to fight? I loved that game if it was. I want to play it again. Arc the lad was an AWESOME RPg, but I only played one of them. Its the one with Darc a monster and the human character, dont remember his name atm, and they ended up fighting together. Oh yeah it was just Arc The Lad so It's the first one. Never heard of the bouncer. Whats that game about? Thousand arms and Wild arms where both awesome RPGS also. Thousand arms is the one with the kid who has to go on dates to get better at smithing or magic or somethign right? I loved that one lol. Wild arms was awesome back when I played it. Though I dont think I liked any of the sequals. Chrono cross and Trigger are awesome games. I recently beat trigger on the SNES, and I never actually beat Cross, but I got to the part where you switched bodies. The other games on the ps1 list I never played though I want to play legend of Dragoon. I played a demo in the stores when it came out and it was cool.
