So what do you think of those dumbas*** on youtube who search anime and say anime sucks, its gay, get a life.

I hate them and they are the ones that need to get a life.

Well...

There are those who waste hours and hours of their life watching some silly cartoon about a life that's way cooler than the regular one... (Category A)
And there are those who waste hours and hours of their life doing other unimportant stuff, like searching YouTube for anime only to comment it and say anime sucks... (Category B)

I'd say, both categories need a life, but I too am part of Category A.

I have a life outside Anime too, that is, retro gaming and metal music.

...And that's it. That's my life for ya.

I enjoy Anime, like alot of others do. Im not however so deep into it that I dress up like my favorite anime character. Or watch it 24/7.
Flamers and trolls/spammers do need to find a niche. Cosplaying and enjoying Anime does not hurt anyone. Flaming does.

I'm part of Cat A. I watch sometimes, and then I do have a life outside that... and thats running a website, playing games, doing some stuff, and going to school.

The only life I have outside the computer is kicking football with myself. It isn't particulary fun, but I don't really have anyone to play with. I can do 64 'jonk' (Kicking the ball 64 times before it hits the ground, like juggling or something)

You know, I was gonna reply with something witty and scathing but awww... I'm gonna bake you a cake, Cherko. And I guess mail it to Sweden or wherever you are.

Thing is, I used to not like Anime until I stumbled upon Naruto and Dragonball Z. There is a anime out there to fit everyone's style. It just depends what you are into really. Like I am a fighting type of person. I like Dragonball, Naruto, Mortal Kombat & Street Fighter when they had their own series, X-men, Spiderman, you get the deal.

Ninja Scroll was the original anime that made me start this on and off relationship with anime...The Dragonball series made me fall in love...Naruto somehow keeps me coming back to her...Hopefully that'll make me be faithful..Not to mention Ghost in a Shell and Akira played a big roll in our relationship:D

Yeah, just send it to Cherko In The Big Green House By The Finnish Border and it'll find it's way... But why? When? How?
64 ain't that much.

Its natural when someone hates successful thing like "Anime" to criticise it..

by the way.... in my work... my mates call me..."Mr. Anime"... :p

Gotta love Gundam ;) I have seen about 6 Gundam series and love them all!

I really love anime, but that's only one part of my life. I also work, watch TV, play games, meet friends, etc.

I have cosplayed twice, as Squall Leonhart. Once was at an Expo. The other time was at an FF12 signing (European release; director and character designer were there). Because I was cosplaying, I got some cool extras, like limited edition post cards, a Montblanc the Moogle plush, and one of only 300 CDs ever produced, with 5 tracks from the game. :)

I have to admit, some anime is either too childish, or very disturbing. I don't know, I think I will stick to my Ultimate X-Men comics.

Personally, I find Japanese humour to be way, way too bland and interchangeable. It's the humour world's equivalent of Chuck Norris - fake, annoying, worshipped, and completely and utterly ****tarded. Someone please, please prove me wrong by showing me a witty, scathing, cynical, dry piece of humourous art that Japan has produced, or at least had some part in producing. I hate being temporarily racist, so hurry. And no, Asian-Americans don't count. Niether do Chinese, in case you're an idiot.

We're talking about the jokes in cartoons, here.. They aren't overly clever in most cartoons in the West either.

KRIS, you must not have seen a lot of anime, then. For all of the weird/childish anime out there, there are also some cool ones about. The Gundam franchise is a prime example. Another example would be Hungry Heart Wild Striker (which is about high school football [soccer]). There's Hajime no Ippo, which is about one boy's struggles to become a great boxer. Fushigi Yuugi is a fantasy anime about a girl trapped in a mysterious land inside a book, she has to go through the book, making magical friends and living though/creating the story, to eventually find the ending.

Many great animes out there if you're willing to look :)

The Gundam series is love <3

I have yet to come across one that I don't think is awesome :D I have seen 6 series, 3 of which are connected (Mobile Suit Gundam, Gundam Zeta, Gundam ZZ), and I've seen 2 of the movies too (Char's Counter Attack and Endless Waltz). My favourite series is Turn A Gundam, as it's quite different from all of the other Gundams, and is very character-driven (I have the main character as my avatar).

I have never laughed as much while watching an anime as I did while watching Ranma ½, and it's only getting funnier and funnier... My favourite character is Tatewaki Kuno.

I love it how you just equated anime with cartoons. It takes a lot of balls to for someone who likes anime to admit, yes, anime is a style of cartoon, and should be compared as such. You get major props for that. I'll send you a cake after Cherko gets his, or at least figures out why I wanted to send one to him.

You should really hack something, find their addresses, and send them actual cakes. That'd be scary as hell. XD

Dammit...? Hmm... So I will teach you the trick to getting 64 jonk? Just kick the ball 64 times and don't let it hit the ground.

Also, I don't like cakes. If you want to send me a gift, send Coke.

XD all of which I haven't heard of. and I'm gussing you haven't seen that lil kiddy version of Gundam that was made? it was butchering the franchise. The ones I've are Gundam Wing and the two that are connect Gundam SEED and Gundam SEED Destiny (both are on tonight, joy). I've seen parts of the Movie for Gundam Wing, but not the whole thing. I wanted to watch Wing again, but I haven't been able to wing a dub version (**** subs in the ear) and I don't have the room on my comp right now aways.

I only ever watched Gundam Wing. It was all dubbed. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. FMA still kicks it's ***, along with most everything else.

Way back to talking about Gundam, does anybody know where you can watch the original Mobile Suit Gundam? Whenever I search for it anywhere all I get is Gundam 00, even watchanimenow.com. It is definately my favorite Gundam.

I watch anime because most english tv shows suck. We got good movies but about 90% of our normal shows suck balls. Anime just seems to be alot better.
