Hm, I've got several.
Orphaned Land - Mabool (All time favorite)
Sigh - Imaginary Sonicscape (This is the best music to come out of Japan ;))
Amon Amarth - Once Sent From the Golden Hall
Dream Theater - Images and Words
Opeth - Damnation
Ensiferum - Victory Songs
Kalmah - The Black Waltz
Lykathea Aflame - Elvenefris
All of them I consider classics, no one should live without hearing them at least once.

Wow, someone has heard of Kalmah. It's a great band, but I don't like the vocals on The Black Waltz. They Will Return and Swampsong are great albums. Actually, I regret not putting They Will Return on my list.
Very well, I'll look into Sigh. I'd love to be proven wrong. Orphaned Land and Lykathea Aflame I've never heard of.

Yeah, I prefer the vocals on their older material, but I just think the songs on The Black Waltz are better. Sigh is very...strange. Their old stuff is black metal, but they've been moving up to avant-garde and even pop. I'd check out Hail Horror Hail or Imaginary Sonicscape. Orphaned Land is a death/doom/prog/folk band from Israel, which is very interesting. Lykathea Aflame is one of the greatest death metal bands I've ever heard.

Seems like we're the only ones here that listen to albums...
Anyway, I've been listening to Amorphis lately, and the Elegy album is starting to grow on me, might become a favourite. Amorphis is a pretty cool band from Finland, it's kind of difficult to say what genre it is though. Some strange mix of genres, progressive/melodeath with interesting use of keyboards, possibly Doors-influenced. They mix cookie monster growling with clear vocals, and the clear vocals sound like they belong in a stoner rock band but with a touch of Hetfield to it. All in all it's a very interesting mix of genres.
