This is an absolutely GREAT anime... it's about a group of young girls that are genetically modified as assassins and hired for hits. If you havent seen this anime, I STRONGLY suggest it!

aww dude i totally saw some of this anime it's so cool, all of those girls are mad hardcore. it's violent but who cares if the story is cool and stuff!!

I absolutely love that anime, first and second season. The plot is so tense and suspenseful, but sometimes it makes me want to cry....

Especially when the handlers treat the girls like ****. The one I cried for the most was Elsa de Sica, Lauro treated her so cruel-like yet she loved him so deeply she ended up killing him and herself in the end. I cried for quite a while on that episode. Also when Angelica dies, that made me tear up as well.

I have to warn you though, the first season is completely serious and has it's funny moments...but the art looks the part. For some reason they make the eyes look completely childish in the second season, and I don't think that portrays the seriousness of the anime at all.

The first season was developed by Madhouse I believe, not sure. But most of the anime community preferred the 1st seasons look and feel compared to season 2. Overall a letdown, but Season 2 is better than your average cliche' ridden tripe rampant these days.

thanks, I was looking for a new anime to watch. Yall seem to have alot of good things to say about this one so I'll check it out.

:D Oh hey, I found a great little place to watch this show. The first episode is a little slow but it's gets a little better later on. :D

You know what FireStarter, I think I agree with you on this one. I only watched the first 2 episodes but it fells like it ain't gonna get any better.

when i saw the first episode i thought this was going to be pretty cool. When she bashs that guy over the head with the violin case and what not. Its seeming pretty average so far, its worth watch in my side time if i have nothing better to do but its not one i would sit up watching all night.

I'm only on episode 6 tho, it might get better.

Well, to each their own. I loved the anime, but then again I loved Serial Experiments Lain and Elfen Lied but no one liked those either.

I have both the boxsets for Gunslinger Girl, I admit there's quite a bit of Loli there. But at least they don't put the girls in super revealing outfits like a huge hentai or something. They all wear normal everyday clothing. ><

no way. this anime is boring. the story is so-so. the animation is decent at least its a "life like" anime. no chibi humor, no SD drawings, etc. but its really slow and tries to play up a story line that it really doesn't have.

I saw it on IFC. It was AWESOME and is right up there with Death Note and Futakoi Alternative. If you haven't seen it, do so NOW.
