Advertising for the Simpsons Movie

What do you think of it? I think its too much. Every channel I watch on television, there is a lot of Simpsons movie commercials. There's interviews and fast food endorsement and everyone wants to cash in on it. Its not like its THAT funny...is it? I don't dig having the same 5 bland gags being thrown at me every where I go.=/

Why you only complaining about this one movie advertising? its just the same as With Sherk 3, it was everywhere ads and contest give away crap using it as a theme. its pretty normal from one movie to get more attention thine the other coming out. just how it works

Yea Shrek 3 too. I think its disgusting how they use these movies as excuses to hawk junk food and merchandise to children, who see getting a cheap toy as enough reason to go to Burger King, and have low standards on films (if they're cartoons or directed at kids). The movies are decent, but they plaster a cartoon character's face on every single box of fruit snacks and cereal for months before and after the release. Kids are suckers for this stuff, when its really the same old crap in a new shape, or even the same old crap in the same shape with a new picture on the box and an offer for a watch or a bobble head. And you know there will be a fast food tie-in, too. Its all about shoving manufactured love down little kids throats in exchange for cold hard cash.

whats funny about the Shrek 3 thing is before they started previewing there was commercials for healthy eating using Shrek characters. that company took the commercial off the air cause it didn't want to promote the new movie, so what did the makers of the movie do? switch over to Junk Food.

The movie and junkfood industry have been doing this for years....
You have to think this is hollywood and no matter what country you live in money makes the world go round and people who are smart cash in... It is the public domain, parents as a whole are the ones spending the money to buy their children these toys and junk food... Now the parents have a choice to buy or not to buy.... But as most parents thinking is they want to make their children happy, or to shut them up....

All this actually makes me glad a little that I have no cable/satellite/basic/digital/etc. at all.
Besides the default channel I always get.

You have to think this is hollywood and no matter what country you live in money makes the world go round and people who are smart cash in... It is the public domain, parents as a whole are the ones spending the money to buy their children these toys and junk food... Now the parents have a choice to buy or not to buy.... But as most parents thinking is they want to make their children happy, or to shut them up....

I went to Simpsons Movie and I have to say it wasn't very good, could be better. ;)
By the way, i haven't seen any advertisments at TV. :D

I meant that as in you probably don't get anythign USA channels and most the overly advertising is done by them...ie fox

In Sweden, this one channel was doing a Simpsons maraton and only showing Simpsons for one day, and several channels put Simpsons characters in their logos over July... And of course, the commercials.
