On August 7th in the fifth inning, connecting on a 3-2 pitch from Washington's Mike Bacsik Barry Bonds hit #756 over the right-center field wall. To become the all-time home run king.

Every single fan would defend Barry Bonds if he we're on their team. No questions. There is no scientific proof that steroids help you hit a baseball.

Steroids are also used to promote healing of injuries. This is why there is an increase in injured players and also an increase in time to heal such injuries. Since everything under the sun is banned from professional sports.
So yes Hank Arron did in fact use steroids.

O I know that. Its also used to increase male hormones when there is chemical imbalance. rely is it used for this but actually just to increase muscle mass which in many ways is riskier than the results.

I'm not saying he does use steroids or not, its just not as astonishing as it was when no one was using steroids imao.

What do you think about corking bats?

There is scientific proof that a corked bat does not help you hit home runs.

But its still against the rules isn't it? I mean whats the point of having rules if people don't follow them?

What I was getting at is that many people discredit a player (Sammy Sosa) saying his home runs we're do to the fact that he was caught using a corked bat.

His own team doesn't even like him... He has his locker in the corner by himself with his own T.V. above it and he does not even talk to anyone....
Also this too says alot when his contract was up and he was a free agent no other team wanted to pick him up....

Bonds 73 dingers in a year is now unbreakable because it would take two things to happen...

1) a once in a lifetime player with home run power ala Bonds, Maguire, Sosa, Maris, Ruth...etc
2) and then that person who has once in a life time skills to JUICE TO THE FRIGGIN EYEBALLS and be unaffected by the intense media scrutiny that would accompany the home run chase.

that was why barry bonds was the perfect storm....he was a once in a lifetime player, he juiced to the eyeballs and didnt give a sh*t what anyone thought of him, hence, he was immune to external pressure.

think A Rod will break the all time home run record? he wilts under the media glare every post season...think he can really handle the pressure should he make it to 700 home runs? He's mentally fragile.

Bonds stays the home run king because of his ability to not care about what anyone else thought about his rampant steriod usage.

:)
