These bas-tards at the car repair place tried to **** good ol Klendathu, but Klen don't play that ****.
At first I paid $221 for A/C service. Fine whatever, They said it had a leak but they couldn't find it. So I was to drive it around for a few days then bring it back and they should be able to find the leak. They had put some kind of dye in it to find the leak that would take a couple days to show up. 30 minutes later it's blowing out hot air. So I took it back. And I wait. 30 minutes later he comes in and says theres no leak. It's your compressor. Then the little ****er says for a rebuilt compressor, not new it would be $700. I said you couldn't diagnose that this morning. He says no. I say so I just blew $221 for absolutely nothing. He informs me then that this is common in my model car and is known as the black death. So I call him on his previous statement about not being able to diagnose the problem earlier. He says there's no way they could have known. I then say there's no way I'm leaving here unless I have my $221 dollars back. Well I got my money, an apology, and a huge discount on the compressor when I decide I'm ready to have it put in.

Moral or this story

This is why Klendathu did not get scammed, because he knows about car repair. I just don't keep a tank of freon sitting around.

And after a bit of research. I will be getting an even deeper discount.
They said a compressor would cost $595 + labor $700 total.
