Can anyone explain to me what on Earth is going here?? Usually I don't interfere with what ever U guys R doing, but the last couple of days I've seen a lot of fighting. I mean, WTF??

What happened was that me and Craze and firebird spammed the hell out of the random thread, then kissed and made up. Then for some reason I don't remember, we made a poll to rename the random thread. Then we all got into a **** fight. Then Fierce Diety stepped in with his "kick all our asses into the dirt" style of moderating; and deleted all our bull****.

I don't really know, I wasn't here, but, someone sent me a thread, and I saw everyone ****ed at each other. Apparently, there were two Random threads, one being Random Info, and one being The Den, and people argued over it, and Craze merged the two. However, like 10 other threads about complete nonsense came up, and people closed threads, and other people made threads about those threads being closed, and from what I understand, the other mods had a while to resolve all this.

Then, they were arguing over the name of the new merged thread, and decided what was against the rules and for the rules, and that there should be a chat forum, despite General chat kind of.. you know, being the chat forum. XD And they were saying Random Info was off-topic, god knows how they even came to that conclusion. I just closed a bunch of threads, deleted a bunch of crap, and renamed that thread to Thread ID=1734 until they can all AGREE on a name.

The fighting seems to have stopped, for now, at least.

Also, I've been asked several times to remove you're avatar, but, I haven't for two reasons.

One, it's not really showing anything.

Two, I really don't give a damn. XD

I would have, maybe, but, everybody was fighting over the name, and nobody can argue that it's thread ID isn't 1734, so, I left it as that.

I can see it from FDs point of view, he just tried to keep the forum clean from fighting. That's his job as a moderator. And a job well done if U guys were really fighting.

So, this is all about a few deleted posts?? That's really all what it's about?? Sounds a bit childish, don't U agree?? I mean, it's just a few posts in which U were fighting. How much does it really add to the forum?? It's just a fight.

Just let it go guys. Most of U R still young, but I can assure U there's going to be a lot of crap in Ur life that U won't like. And trust me on this one as I speak from my own experience, running away or fighting isn't a solution.

We have a good, solid community going on here, and I like it. And I'd like to see it continue as being a good community. Yes, we all have our own opinions and views on different matters, but that's nothing different from "real life". The trick is to compromise, and cooperate. Not fight.


So instead of fighting each other, I'd like to hear some suggestions to solve the issues that have been going on lately. Those of U who can't respond with a serious answer will find it deleted by me. The ones that do feel an urge to reply with a possible solution please respond.

Well, this isn't my site, or, I'd just claim being admin, and delete everything that was retarded, and center it back on emulation, with General Chat being a side-topic. And since I'm mod as a favor to admin, I probably shouldn't do anything that's going to make him upset, granted, I'm sure he wouldn't want the forum like this. I almost think he needs to set clear, concise rules, on what is allowed, and what isn't allowed, and while general chatting should be allowed, it shouldn't be to the point where there are 80 threads about it, and you can't find the ones about actual emulation.

I would say, we start a rules thread, with the more level-headed of us making temporary rules until admin agrees on them or makes his own. And until then, those will be enforced, and we'll have an official thread for all the random crap, to try to keep things more... orderly. If there's a fight, take it to MSN, AIM, PMs, whatever, but, don't start 8 threads about it, or actually moderate based on your stance in the fight.

Well, sounds good to limit those spam threads to just one. Merge every single one of them into one huge spam thread, and what goes on in that particular thread, stays in that thread. And there will be no moderation in it unless someone spews racist crap or links to porn. That's just off limits. Other than that, hands off.

Might be a good solution to this whole fighting thing over a thread and some posts. One spam thread, that's it.

First of all, I need to know which one of those threads R being used for spam, or "random" as U guys call it. This way I can merge the correct threads that R being used for spam, and prevent ****ing U guys off because I merged the wrong ones :p ......
