I just started working on integrating the house with a new LAN. Who thought that property owners didn't expect future improvements in wiring/radio transitions in 1941? I'll be pulling wires for a good 3 hours some time this month and figuring out the weakest linear-points in the walls for Wi-Fi penetration. But to top that the Software I've been setting up sucks.
I tried running Auto Gordian Knot for the first time (LAN- based movie archive; I hate disks), and it locked up. "No big deal, Windows sucks at stability anyway", I thought, and I went through my little protocol list for unlocking the thing. I succeeded, and when I saw the DVD did rip, I noticed that it was far to small (I checked it's properties before opening it, because what little process was complete only took 4 seconds, where it was supposed to take 8 hours on a standard machine.). When I tried to open the media file, it through a prompt at me (can't remember what, but I'll check if anyone asks) and shut the computer down when I closed it.
Question: What happened? How can I get it to work?
