Let's put a little lovin' in coolrom :P
LOVE
What is it? Have you experienced it? Is it good, or is it bad? Would more of it solve problems or do we need less of it? Is this even a fair question? Should we be trying to verbalize something that is considered to be beyond words?

Love... hm... I knew something about it some time ago... no... hrm...
Nope I don't need it. Causes too much problems in my view. If there wasn't love, there wouldn't be war! Really! Statistics... Men do what women want. I don't. So...

War doesn't come forth out of love, it comes from hatred. If everyone on this planet loved eachother, U think they'd kill eachother?? And what would happen if everyone hated eachother??

Real Answers: Funderful. Yes. Good. Regardless of the answer, the question is a double edged sword. Evidently, this is an unfair question. We already have, so there's no point in questioning whether we should, instead question whether we should continue to do so.

Love is a mixed emotion, but either you love someone or you don't but you should make up mind pretty fast and attempt to grow stronger feelings with the person you're into...

This comes from someone who has fallen in love, love is an eternal longing and happiness that you feel for a specific person,in my case my beloved, anyway if true love, nothing else matters than your significant other,no matter the hardship,no matter the struggle,no matter the sorrow, being by their side will still bring you happiness and joy.
I often tell my father,i'd rather spend eternity in hell with my beloved, than an eternity in heaven without her.

Love? Love is what you get when you give yourself entirely for better or worse, even if they are incapable of loving you back and totaly screw with you emotions. I would seriously suggest a hooker instead. You give someone you love your heart and give a hooker a few hundred bucks. Difference is you wont miss the money in a few months.

It's good, easily. We definitely need more of it. People's own selfishness, looking inwardly for their motives and intentions, this is what causes problems. And while if you truly love someone, you can't come close to verbalizing it, if you truly love them, you're willing to spend the rest of your life trying to.
War doesn't come forth out of love, it comes from hatred. If everyone on this planet loved eachother, U think they'd kill eachother?? And what would happen if everyone hated eachother??
More war. XD But yeah, Kameo's right.
"I love you!"
"Me too!"
"Fire our ****!"
"Fire ze missiles!"
No. Wrong. XD
You can probably hate someone for a bad reason as much as you can love someone for a bad reason.
Both of them can motivate in some ways, and both of them are ways of accepting the animalistic intoxication in perhaps every mind.
You can love someone simply for their skin and body instead of traits like beliefs but neglect the world of learning and work, which might or might not be the purpose(s) of life.
You can hate someone for things like race and gender instead of traits like beliefs but neglect positive thinking and the healing properties of happiness. It is also probable that love could be the purpose of life.
Both of them can kill, though, at probably nearly the same level of each, since they both can make people act retarded.
Iconoclast, once again, you have gone into meta-cognition to the point where you've come to a conclusion for a point that of which we weren't debating. Congrats. XD I think love is a bit out of your reach of understanding, you have a bit more to learn first, and a lot more to feel.

Very well said. I often say that the hell caused by loving someone, no matter how bad, or how long, is all worth it once you see their face for even a second. Glad someone else can understand that. ^_^

You lost me at hookers. Also, a lover gives you their love in return, and you attain happiness, and a hooker gives you chlamydia, or possibly something incurable. Way to go, you. I think you'll miss proper bathroom-going more than any amount of money you could pay for a hooker.
If you need me, I'll be over there. *points*
I swear to god, if this topic goes back on hookers, I'll kill all of you. XD

Dwelling in the past makes Pyro Junky a dull boy :p ... You never know what will happen if you won't give yourself a chance...
What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination will affect everything. It will decide what you will do with your evenings, how you spent your weekends, what you read, who you know, what breaks your heart and what amazes you with joy and gratitude. Fall in love and it will decide everything...

Both. I like more users joining, but, you're also invited as you seem interesting. And your avatar was a bunny slut, so, as apt as my comment was, I think it was totally called for. But, that's just me.
Also, I'm guessing you mean Kameo. XD

Whats that lassie? you want me to put them back on track?! okay ill try
There is 3 Kinds of love
1)Passionate (Where you love SomeTHING Eg Music, Games)
2) The Forced Love ( You HAVE to love your family apparently
3) True ( To Love a person)
Personally Albus Dumbledore had the best idea, Love is stronger than magic, if you love something or someone you should go with your heart!!! where there is no love there is war!
Kirsdarke
12-12-2007, 01:13 PM
2) The Forced Love ( You HAVE to love your family apparentlyYou can't FORCE love onto someone... most people love their family, even if they hate to admit it. I think the second type of love would be the love between your friends, more like platonic love

You can't FORCE love onto someone...
Never read any Shakespeare, have you? (Midsummer Night's Dream)
But loving your family is not forced. Either you do or you don't even if they try to say you do.

As i stated earlier, love is something that can't be explained, only felt,i bet shakespeare never found it,or he wouldn't have made MSND(haven't seen or read it,and considering how it sounds,i probably never will).

you know i' starting to think that love... it's good... BUT
i live every moment of my life and i think that if someone can't keep up with me... why stay with her?... i mean i'm young and i want to do lots of things before i get older... and if i want to love someone i just hold it and walk away.. cuz (as i said) i'm still young...
but love haves 2 sides... i mean there are some facts that makes love fun and yet sad and painfull....
then there's the teenager love.... that's where i'm stucked... i been with somebody and it's just stupid...it's not real love it's just saying i like you and that's it... this is a case of a girl-friend who one day called me because my best friend broke up with her after 2 weeks: he said "i really like you", and she said "oh ,me too, i think i love you".... see... :nono: that's not love.. that's talking with somebody who just met you at a party and 2 days later calls you... i said that to her and she never talked to me again.... crazy...
but look i'm not saying "love is bad" or "make love not war" i'm saying that if you want to talk about love... there are many words to explain it... not just one phrase or one line in a little paper....
ending this post with a little phrase or whatever: love is what we feel without wanting to, not what we want to feel...

love like fetishes is strictly individualistic. Like we are still writing songs about this subject as of today, this moment, tomorrow and onto the future. I'm personally a breast man, while other are into feet. Who figure? But I'm not letting myself off the hook or be sarcastic about it. One can analyze it from various angles: scientific, biological, psychological, historical, economic, or just pure lustfulness, after all we are animals who need to pass on our genes. But since we can reason and philosophize. To me, it's all about risk. The risk of loving someone who might not be able to return the feeling. And in all cases, that someone was a total stranger before you knew him/her. The ironic thing for me is that I heard the best line about love is from a lousy movie, "Evan Almighty". We ask God or the universe for love or is it the "opportunity to love" another? How many of us actually risk enough of ourselves at that opportunity to love, and just maybe, maybe having it in return. When it does, it is the most magical moment. Hence the songs, the movies, books, etc. Well, true love that is like hitting the lotto. And I'm afraid, I'm like most people. My numbers never come up. Now there are alot of married people but how many of them actually love each other truthfully?
