sega cd roms

hi gang im kinda new to the world of emulators, and was wondering if someone could let me know how to get sega cd rom to play on my emulator. i am currently using the Gens emulator. any help or tips would be greatly appreiciated.:D

well u must have the rom file unzipped for sega cd in gens. Also u nust go configure the sega cd bios which u need to get. Its easy to find through google.
To configure bios, go to options, bios/misc files then enable the sega cd bios should be self explanatory from there but if not i can still help ya :cool:

i can't get it to work either. i downloaded the bios and it's not showing up in my folder.

U must unzip the bios, there should be 3 files it will then see them. One fo us europe and japan i think. Enable them all.

Also, make sure all the music files (Which are separate from the iso) are in order and have the same name format. For example, if the game's filename is Game.iso, make sure all the music files are in order, starting with Game02.mp3 (or whatever format), Game03, Game04, etc. The iso shouldn't have a number, but all the music files should starting with 02. That's a little confusing I know, but it'll make sense when you get the files.

i jast got power rangers for sega CD i have GEN32 surreal v1.58 and i have bios us_scd2_92306 the game starts off in the into but after that it stops....is there something i am not doing?

im using kega (fusion) emulator i got it working for 32x games but cant get the sega cd to work?

i can boot the sega cd and get it on2 the screen menu where is says push select to open tray

how do i boot up the sega cd games? when i download them from this site the are rar files, do i need to get something to change these into correct format?

no, they must be unzipped though and the same goes for the bios. Look at my basic walkthrough for more info or pm me if yer still havin problems.

first of all you need the us bois the jap bois and eur bois. you can get this at
http://www.eidolons-inn.net/old/sega/segacd_dev.html i recomend the the most updated one on the site so look at date. for gens after you unzip them open gens go to option bois and click change and locate each bois and double click on the file i repeat double click on it and you should be able to run sega cd on gens

Try downloading all 7 BIOS files for Gen emul, I found that if you place the sega master system BIOS plus Sega CD (USA, EUR + J BIOS files) and 32x BIOS files 1)genesis/32x(2)master/32x (3)slave/32x you can load and unload any sega made rom easily after gen has access to these files, I tried this using only the Sega CD USA IOS file and I fixed and it is working now
