What does everyone think of these?

Im looking at getting one, havent had a handheld gaming system since like, the gameboy colour & i was last playing Pokemon Red on it lol.

Also, im in Australia, where could i get those Flash cards/cartridges so I can put roms etc, are there tutorials anywhere on the net on HOW TO go about doing that kind of things, so you can put the ROMS you own and transfer it to the device via the flash cartridge thing. (Im a bit new to this with all the flash cartridges, but i know a fair bit about it and emulation in general)

Thanks anyone :)

From what I seen the micro is too small. I would think it would be awkward to play. the GBA/SP is awkward enough, but I've never tried to play one so I would try one before i would buy one. The size is very cool though.

I have been looking into the flash cards and can't find them anywhere:( I've found a few sites that sell them but they are all out of stock. I can't even find the damn things on ebay!

From what I have seen of these you get a "writer" that hooks to you GBA or GBASP (they won't work for the DS, I’m not sure if they work with the micro either) but you plug the writer into the port on your GBA then into the USB of your computer and using simple software you transfer the roms to the flash cartridge (supposedly as simple as transferring MP3s to a player). You can also put more then one game on a flash cart depending on the size you get. The writer is only $10 US, but the flash cartridges vary depending on the size, but about $60 US for a 512MB (which could hold as many as 32+ different roms depending on the roms size) You program a boot menu to choose what games you play when you turn the GBA on. You can also use the flash card to emulate the NES and SNES on your GBA. Very cool stuff. Here is a website where you can order the flash carts and writer, but they are out of stock at the moment on flash carts, check out the site though to learn more about using them. http://www.easybuy2000.com/store/nintendo%20accessories/

EDIT: Also, if you have a Pocket PC you can get emulators for the NES, SNES, Genesis, GB, GBA, SMS, and MAME. I was about to buy a GBA/SP + the Flash Writer and cart but then learned that they made emulators that would work with my PPC.

I'll buy one off Ebay. Theyre cool enough as memoraphelia on their own, but they'll hopefully play all the hacked GBA games that I've made over the years.
