iTunes won't open

Maybe someone whos a techno geek can help me. My iTunes on my school computer wont open, it says something about the library being made by a newer version of iTunes. I tried to download a new version of iTunes, but my schools computer wont download. Can I download it from home and somehow bring it to my school computer???
