What version are you using? I don't use vista and I have no problems with XP, so I can't say for sure, but give Project64 1.7.0 a try... it is the newest version.

Sorry for my ignorance, had no idea that this version was out. Try a google search for project64kve and see what you come up with.

NVIDIA's newest cards hate what Jabo's Direct3D7 does, but unfortunately since Project64k is such a hack you're forced to use that plugin.

So yea, if the plugin file's there, but it just doesn't initialize, it'd actually be because your card is too new

Just Project64 1.4 gfx processor plug-in. Not like you can't change plugins in 1.4 as with other emulators, but the hack Project64k (of which Project64kve is based on) forces particular RSP and RDP processors to be used (or aud/vid meh).

He can try meddling with his drivers on the main NVIDIA website; the particular issue is with Z buffering how Jabo's old plug-ins did that.

He can also try 1964 or Mupen64++: which are actually a hell of a lot better with synchronization than some Portugese hack and let you change your plug-ins to anything. Problem is you all have to use the same emulator when you play an online game, and 99% of people use Project64k w/ SSB. Well maybe less
