Problem with Avatar

I got problem with avatar and picture putting when i try so message appears ''This is not a valid image file.'''! What now? :shocked:

81 x 80 Bitmap image!

So the extension is BMP, I'll assume. Try saving it as another format, I guess. PNG or JPG is fine. If that doesn't work, what image editor did you use to save it?

Let me handle this one!

BMP files are usually larger in size. If the size of the file is over 19 kb or so, it won't be valid, so you must find another file or save the image in a better compressed format (PNG or JPEG) you can do this simply in Microsoft Paint; just open it up and pick save as and pick an extension...

I second chaos' suggestion - try saving the file as .gif or .jpg format instead. See if that solves your problem :).

I dont have that kind of programs! I only got Paint, Phostoshop, Nero Photosnap! :(

go to file->save as. when you save there is a little scroll box at the bottom of the window. Thats where you can change the format.:)

Relax, it was a mistake, sir. You need the bloody pic to be at the most 19 KB and 120x120 pixels.
