Total noob to emulation

Well just saw a friend playing old nes(classics)on his laptop, so i asked him how to do it....and his response....google it(WTF right). SO thats how i got here. All i know is that i want to play the good classical games here on my computer ready to go. im still at step 1. find a emulator, need a good one, one that wont fail on me.

I'd say virtualNES is the best out there, never had a problem with it.

I wil trust your judgement on that one there....i have the virtualNES so now what....just get games to it and play

Pretty much sums up what i need, but for all them other people who didnt get to answer in time. Please feel free to add anything these 2 missed.
