Hello Friends, I just finished watching a movie that really opened my eyes about the whole Global Warming thing, and it was called "The Great Global Warming Swindle". All I know about this movie was that it was produced by the BBC Channel 4 in March of 2007.

I don't believe we are the cause of Global Warming just as stated by this BBC piece. I do however think we should do what we can to not pollute, and do our best top recycle.

Isn't everything? I don't expect anyone to care about such, but nothing is certain.

This case doesn't say it's not our fault because of that it just says there's a larger factor of natural development and that it's not 100% our fault to the extent of feeling bad about it.

How many people can you think of that refuse to believe both play a part anyway? Of course they all agree. It's not like agreeing comes after knowing something, so of course 'opinion' is assosciated with it.

The majority of the internet masses don't really know how to react to wit. As for global warming it doesn't really matter how it is labeled. The earth is warming up every year. Watch Animal Planet shows on the Pole ecosystem. Those Poor polar bears dying from starvation. Unable to get any ice footholds to hunt. Aww. How this will ultimately effect us :shrug: but it is happening.

Global warming is very real. If there were no people on the planet, it would still happen. Earth still has ice on the poles, therefore, is in an ice age still; though nearing the end. So really, global warming is just Earth going back to a previous state.

Global warming is happening technicaly but its attributed to weather patterns the earth has shifted temperatures from day one, frome ice ages to where we are at now. Its more about are humans speeding up the rising temperatures which we dont technicaly know yet, I think the odds are probably not.

Time will tell my friends. I've never worried over it much, what's done is done, you know? Taking steps to avoid polluting is important in my mind, but not because of global warming but because of the more immediate effects.

See: Smog over Los Angeles, and especially the north pacific gyre.

I've also been reading up on recycling as a whole and there are solid statistics from what I could gather that recycling has actually caused more pollution than it has stopped. For example the amount of material that is recycled is hardly enough to make a dent in our waste problem, and the environmental effects of the gas guzzling recycling trucks and recycling plant waste is more harmful than stuffing our landfills a little extra.

To global warming... Clearly pollution is not a good thing.. and definitely if we don't hold back on the amount of pollution we're generating there will surely be problems later on... MUCH later.

As of now.. there has been basically changes in temperature. But, to make it clear one of the big things behind weather is temperature change haha. Summers in southern Canada are about 25-35 (Celsius) degreed typically ( Even form August in to September ) and 20-ish in October. So lets give an average of 30 in summer. This summer I'd say the average was 20 in August, and now in the morning its usually around 0 degrees. Rather than a nice warm 10 haha... Global Cooling?

But like I said... weather changes. I think if we expect any real "Global warming" give it 500 hundred years... or 500 Million when the Sun gets a little older :p. But if we continue our efforts with cutting back on pollution which is the apparent cause.. you know, recycle, spiral bulbs, electric/hydrogen cars, hydro power, the works, we could promise a better future for every-one.

But as of now.. I think Global Warming is a pile of ****. Screw you Al Gore, and up yours David Suzuki, and all you granola-crunching (yes its one word now) corporation hating hippies can go to hell

Like I said it the first post, it was made by the BBC. Which the BBC is State Sponsored television of England. The Film itself is pretty solid, the science in it that is. And don't compare this Documentry to Zeitgiest !!! Peter Joseph the maker of Zeitgiest has turned his back on this film for the most part. He did an interview with the New York Times talking about he doesn't think that "9-11 was an inside job anymore". But you should give this documentry a chance, it's pretty good !!!
