This belongs in Emulator Support. I will move it there for you.
Default to Project 64 1.6' Jabo's 8th input plugin. (If you got Project 64 1.6 [you should use it if you want one of the best and simplest-to-use emulators], then this is the default controls.) N64 controller.........keyboard A............................X B............................C Z............................Z L............................A R............................D Start.......................Enter C-Up.......................Home C-Left.....................Delete C-Down...................End C-Right....................Page Down control stick up.........up arrow key control stick left........left arrow key control stick down.....down arrow key control stick right......right arrow key (You gotta have num lock on for these keys to work.) D-pad up.................8 on number pad D-pad left................4 on number pad D-pad down.............2 on number pad D-pad right..............6 on number pad

Until you answer my question as to what emulator you are using, you'd better be. If you can't give us enough information, then we can't help you. If you haven't picked on yet, I recommend Project64. |

It is default. Go tell that to Jabo. It works fine for me.
I think yours is [massive censorship]!!!!!! The c-button placement on mine is superior, as is the rest. We do not support flaming other people's contibutions here! I give him what the buttons are and you give him extra information that may confuse him and bewilder him. For shame. P.S. Why do you start new font tags at every line? Copying and pasting again? For shame. Also, do not wquote the big posts so we can save space. ![]() BAK TO TOPIK!

Wrong. The C-Buttons configuration is the most terrible part of it. There is no flaming I have done. It seems that you only agree on what I said about getting off topic of threads when you're using it as an excuse when you're doing it. If you post that last post you just did, that's just as spamful as this post, so it's fair as long as you're willing to post it. Besides, my posts here are not off topic...they pertain to configuration. As long as some part of each post talks about the topic of the thread, it's OK. Therefore, you are the one who just got done spamming because at least some part of your post needs to talk about the thread, which I'll do my part for this post at the end.
There is no shame. I don't use the HTML editor. Why the hell would I copy and paste? You are assuming! I use the advanced text editor...it's different from the ones most CoolROM users here use. And now you're gonna confuse him because you told him controller configuration for Jabo's plugin when he may not even have that plugin! We need...to WAIT for him to tell us what emulator he's using. If he doesn't answer that, you can spam all you want. OK? |

I am all offended now that you accused me of spamming..... ....Do you think he will be back? When he is back, you will see that he did not change the default plugin! If he does not know the buttons, then how will he know to change the default plug-in? I suspect he is using 1964 (which does not come with default buttons on the plug-in) and he doesn't know because he thinks the buttons are set already and he cannot find them. This is logical, yes? Also, mt c-buttons are superior because your down C is all the way at the bottom, so you cannot easily reach it without making a large movement of your fingers. My C buttons are packed close together for easy access without migrating your fingers. Also, they are easier to find without looking because there are less keys in my cluster. This is logical, yes?

That post was on topic because it spoke about the current subject. Error processing bullcrap. (R)etry, (I)gnore, (F)ail?
I am all offended now that you accused me of spamming..... You said you never get offended! ....Do you think he will be back? No. Users always signing up and never coming back. When he is back, you will see that he did not change the default plugin! You don't know what his frickin' default plugin was, because he hasn't told us the emulator! Understand now? If he does not know the buttons, then how will he know to change the default plug-in? He does not need to know the default settings in order to change them. If he has PJ64, all ya gotta do is tell him to use the Options/Configure Input Plugin... command. I suspect he is using 1964 (which does not come with default buttons on the plug-in) and he doesn't know because he thinks the buttons are set already and he cannot find them. I have no idea what you just said. He could be using any plugin, so we can't assume which one. He needs to tell us first. This is logical, yes? Also, mt c-buttons are superior because your down C is all the way at the bottom, so you cannot easily reach it without making a large movement of your fingers. Aw, give me a break! I'm fine with them. PgDown for Down? End for left...or whatever it was? The keys you press have to be arranged in a plus sign/cross like my NumPad keys, not some lazy randomness! My C buttons are packed close together for easy access without migrating your fingers. WTH, I don't need mine to be close together. Also, they are easier to find without looking because there are less keys in my cluster. Well, then, may I recommend looking? Tell me you have the eye muscles. This is logical, yes? |

Oh really? My c buttons cluster looks like this, above the arrow keys:
Insert|Home|Page Up Delete|End|Page Down Home, Delete, End, and Page Down are the c buttons. Does it make sense now? It is fairly safe to ASSUME that he had PJ64, because that is the most popular N64 Emulator. Statistics and stuff....... Have you ever thought he means what are the buttons called on the original controller? It may be so! I want you to (R)etry, or you'll find yourself with a bit more than 90% damage! HA! (jk) Just like typing, it helps just that much more if you do not need to look at the keyboard. I do not know what you are talking about. Let us focus on helping him. WE MUST WAIT!

It is not safe to assume. If we assume wrong, he will get the wrong information and he will get confused. Besides, before you assumed 1964. Typo, right? PJ64's popularity is no reason...someone with his level of emulation may not even know what the hell an emulator is. Now let him answer the question.
