I just downloaded Ken Griffey Jr's Slugfest and I would like to know what do I also need to download to play the game?

You do not title this 'General Help'. You should have titled it something more like 'How Do I Emulate ROMs?' And the least you could've done was post this thread in the PC Gaming/Emulation forum, not in Emulator Support. But never mind that; hopefully, the moderator here will move it.

Guys, he's asking what to do with I think it's Nintendo 64 ROMs once you download them, or how to play them. You all know the answer to his question, so I'll leave you to this. I'm busy with these advanced problems and schoolwork.

He's asking for support on a emulator issue, it's a emulator support question. Emulator support questions don't go in PC Gaming/Emulation. It goes in emulator support, right where he is now.

U need a N64 emulator to run this Game, obviously . PJ64 is recommended . Get it here www.pj64.net Download the binary file, not the source ...

also if your going to run an n64 emulator make sure your computer is up for it. it needs to be an xp or it probably wont work

You guys are confusing him. What if he doesn't know what an emulator is? We need to give him a direct link that immediately starts the download where he can copy the files, tell him how to start the emulation (which command path), and which plugins to get. I have more advanced problems that I'm still trying to fix, so I'm not handling this. Jesus Christ. At least Kameo told him something about playing the game. Krusha-25, you are stereotyping. Windows XP sucks, and it uses more hard disk space than earlier versions of Windows. A good PC does not need to have Windows XP, though for a reason I think we know, such PCs usually come with XP on it.

By this post, who says it's an emulator issue? ASSUMPTIOUS!!! Fine, fine, fine! It can go in either Emulator Support, ROM Support, OR PC Gaming/Emulation. He's not going to ever come back to this site again, anyway. He SAID he downloaded the ROM. He needs something to emulate it. DOES THAT NOT RELATE TO EMULATION? Does emulation of Nintendo 64 games like that not happen on the PC as well as the N64? Then it can go in PC Gaming/Emulation, but ROM Support sounds more appropriate compared to Emulator Support. He doesn't even have an emulator yet; he only has a ROM. OK? From now on...let's keep it simple. I promise to never whine about threads being in the wrong forum again.

Iconoclown, U R the one making every thing harder here for people with Ur long stories about things that R totally off subject. I told him what he needs to play the Game, that's what he asked for, he didn't ask for U to preach once again like U seem to do in every thread U post in. Keep it short, informative and straight to the point. It's really not that hard, try it sometimes...

He may not have asked for my *****ing about which forum this thread should go in, but you did. And when you have a problem with what I say, I have the right to defend my opinion. Problem solved. But you are right: Sometimes...I talk too much.

And by the definition of the word 'iconoclast', 'iconoclown' is a cheap reformation of the word. It has nothing to do with icons...or at least in my usage of the word.

Follow the above link and Click where it says "Project64 v1.6".
A window will come up.
Select save to install it to your computer.
Then, find the folder where you installed it, and double click the PJ64.exe file to open up the program.
Configure your controls by selecting it in the menu at the top.
Then, after unzipping the ROM file if necessary, use Project 64 to open it.
The ROM should open up and you should be able to play it.

See? Was that so hard? Why do you have to flame the thread with fighting over where it belongs, or what the person may or may not know. Just give them the information you think they may need, as opposed to telling the other members how stupid they are for leaving things out. Everyone has the same goal and is trying to help.

THANK you. That's all that needed to be said! Although, there were a couple of things wrong with your instructions. Adman's probably never coming back to these forums anyway, so thank God we were talking to ourselves!

What was wrong with my instructions? It was probably something stupid. I didn't put everything because some of it, if you can't figure out on your own, you need not be emulating. Some things should be obvious.
