PANZER DRAGOON SAGA +Deamon Tools help

hi there,
just finished downloading PANZER DRAGOON SAGA, and am trying to emulate this using SSF beta 2 (i do have the other versions but this 1 doesnt require the STV bios). Ive followed the steps on the sticky post on the forum and have actually got the Saturn booting the menu which appears when no CD or an incorrect disk has been entered, so i am thinking its working.

However my problem lies where mounting the image with Deamon Tools. When i try to mount the 'CUE' fie image i get the error 'unable to mount image file not accessible'.

1)The File was downloaded from CoolROM so iam wondering if this is corrupt? any1 had experience with this??

2)ALso when the game is mounted does it have to be in the same directory as SSF??

3)Also in the SSF and cassini guide when mounting the image it says 'Also make sure your CD-ROM drive is enabled to SCSIVAX like shown above.'
How do i do this???? is it through deamon tools through virtual drive properties, or the actual CD drive properties through 'My Computer'.

ps. im pretty sure my drive isnt compatible with alcohol 120% so i cant use it.

Well, I can say I have never heard of a drive not being compatible eith alcohol 120%. If you can run Daemon, you should be able to run alcohol 120% as well. It make s it's own drive. so I dont see where that should raise to be a problem. even if the actual disc drive on your PC wont burn with alcohol, then you can still use the virtual drive to mount images.


The problem could be in your .cue file. open the .cue file in notepad, copy the entire contents of it, and paste it here in a post and we can review it.

you were right about the DVD drive and alchohol... lol stupid me.. sorry for the wait in the reply had to go to work..

heres the contents of the .cue file,

i tried to mount it with alcohol aswell, the same message appeared.

for a bit more information.... all the other .cue files on my system will mount using deamon tools, not sure if its been corrupted when ive downloaded it..
i read somewhere else that i may have to change the BIN and CUE files name or something or other. Hope you can help.

The cue file is a call to the bin file. It has to call on the right name or it wont work. If you downloaded it from here, then the name it calls to should be "Panzer Dragoon Saga Disk 2.BIN" and that same name needs to be in the cue file also.

So where it says File "PDSCD2" Binary in the cue file it needs to say: File "Panzer Dragoon Saga Disk 2.Bin" Binary. Then it will work.

The name of the drive isnt important either, just so long as it corresponds to the virtual drive you are using. The svsxiaa or whatever is the name of the drive for alcohol tools. Your dameon tools drive will have a different name.

i've been reading this forums for a while

and this thread just made me want to answer.. lol

iv been reading this on lots of posts here including the guide.

both alcool and daemon let you open the .bin file directly

you just have to select to view all file types on the browse box so they appear

i personaly always delete cue files. you dont need them to either mount or burn bin images.
