I think everyone should keep in mind too that you're going to want at least a 10 button gamepad with an analogue stick. Though it was rare that any N64 game utilized EVERY button on the controller it was known to happen.
Also look for various plugins (an easy google search). They can be a great help with fixing annoying little bugs. To those with Pentium 3's hanging on here. You're not going to have much fun trying to emulate any system past the PSX. I don't recommend emulating the N64 unless you're touting at least a 1.5 GHz Pentium 4 or the AMD Equivalent...even then you're pushing it. RAM...lots of RAM too!
