Question PJ64 1.7 beta

Anybody got the 1.7 beta of PJ64 yet? I just donated to the PJ64 cause, and figured I would download it cause I could. I don't know how to install it as it doesn't come in a nifty installer package. I've tried just replacing the files in my current C:\Program Files\Project64 1.6 folder, and that didn't really work. Now I just get memory allocation errors when I load a ROM. Anyone got any suggestions?

Sorry, if you want 1.7 you'll have to donate like I did. I will not leak it, and you should be ashamed for suggesting for me to do so. I figured out how to install it, the instructions were on pj64.net, duh. I pretty much did it right the first time, 1.7 beta just isn't working for my system for some reason, and noone at pj64.net has figured out my problem yet.

I don't like to pay for Beta's, or any emulators for that matter, hence the cracked Magic Engine that I have .

I'll wait for the official 1.7 release, it will be bugfree and free of charge .

And no, since I'm a bloody internet pirate I do not feel ashamed for asking U this ...

Arr, there be multiple uses for a single plank, mateys. (Let's not get creative....)

Or you could make an MS-DOS batch file and tell Kameo to run it after he finishes helping you and the batch file will sneakily delete the beta from his hard disk. Oops, but I blew away that idea.

Maybe it's because you didn't replace entirely everything in the folder, and v1.7 screws up when it reads the remaining fragments of v1.6 in your directory. All I can say is try installing it to C:\Program Files\Project64 v1.7 instead of v1.6 in a new directory, and then maybe it'll work.

I never run any batch files, so that won't work ...

Talking

I'm sure if you wanted 1.7 that badly, you could just run a search through torrents or maybe even Limewire. I don't even want it until the site says they are done with it and it isn't going to suck. Besides, it'll be free then. You could probably even hack the site to get the emulator.

Iconoclast, why are you always talking about DOS stuff? Do you just know a lot about it, or does it have some advantage? If you know a lot about it, you should teach me, as I've never really had an opportunity or a reason to learn about it.

Dos Stuff is pretty simple for the most part, I was hacking DOS when I was driving a power wheel jeep back it 1987. Just takes patience, as it is such a Manual processs, lotsa typing!

ANYWAY, how much did you have to Donate to get the v1.7 Beta?
I have been pondering doing this to get it, I hear it wont be released for a long time.
