Arrow saving on pokem

I downloaded pokemon blue and gold, and when i play it puts a save thingy on the desktop but it never works, does ne1 know how to fix it?

im using the basic gameboy color emulator of this site calles bgb? y

get the gba emulator visual bhoy advance its the best of the handheld emulators

Why? because every emulator saves a little different, and no one here is psychic so we can't guess which one you are using to help you! I've never used bgb. But take ridleys advice and get Visual Boy Advance http://vba.ngemu.com/downloads.shtml

Use Ctrl+S to save a game and Ctrl+L to load a game, it also plays GB, GBC, and GBA roms.

Also remember you have to load the rom before you load the save file for the game, maybe the reason it isn't working for bgb is because you are just trying to load the save file and not loading the rom first.
